Roots Of Light is a week of practice shaped by the mythic journey of Persephone — a story of descent, renewal, and the quiet growth that emerges from moving between darkness and light.
Held in the laid-back fishing village of Aliki on the island of Paros, the retreat supports a deep, steady return to yourself. Each day progresses through an aspect of Persephone's arc, aligned with the clarifying, thoughtful and embodied work of Iyengar Yoga.

THE LOCATION
Panorama Hotel, Aliki
Sitting above the Aegean Sea, Panorama offers simple comfort, wide views, and the slow island pace that encourages rest. With beaches, walking paths, and the gentle hum of village life nearby, the setting supports both inward reflection and spacious ease.
The studio is housed right inside the hotel and is equipped with props including mats.
All rooms have a private bathroom, AC, Wi-Fi, small fridge and kettle.
YOUR TEACHER
Lisa Towson
Lisa has been studying Iyengar Yoga for over 30 years, teaching for almost 25, and holds Level 3 certification. She connects most to the joy of practicing and the day-to-day benefits of yoga, and teaches to inspire and support others in developing or deepening their home practice.
